Our Neighborhood
West Ridge is a vibrant Chicago neighborhood on the city’s far north side, bordering Evanston. Spanning 2.5 square miles, it is home to more than 60,000 residents who speak over 43 languages — making it one of the most ethnically, culturally, and religiously diverse communities in the entire Midwest. Devon Avenue, the neighborhood’s main commercial corridor, is celebrated for its extraordinary array of restaurants, grocers, shops, and services representing cultures from around the globe.
Our Mission
The West Ridge Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping businesses and organizations work together to strengthen the local economy, attract new businesses and shoppers, and enhance the appearance and vitality of the neighborhood. Funded in part by the City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, we dream big on behalf of small businesses — because all businesses are created equal.

We are the collective voice for West Ridge businesses on legislative, regulatory, and community issues — ensuring local entrepreneurs are heard at City Hall and beyond.
Promote
From social media and WRCC Radio to our annual Community Guide — distributed to 10,000+ households — we put member businesses in front of customers.
Connect
Networking events, Business After Hours, Restaurant Crawl, Holiday Bazaar, and more — we create meaningful opportunities for members to grow their networks.
Strengthen
Through education, training, internship programs, and access to the Northside Business Opportunity Center, we invest in the long-term health of West Ridge.
