Sidewalk Cleaning- Now that the weather is warming up, the SSA will expand its sidewalk
sweeping program to include the residential streets located 1 block north and south
of Devon Avenue between Leavitt and Sacramento. On Mondays, an SSA crew will sweep
the public sidewalks, curbs and gutters in this residential section to ease some
of the litter issues that come with the many shoppers who frequent Devon in the
summer months.
This program will begin on Monday April 6 and continue through Monday, September
29.
Trash Cans- In early April the SSA will be installing an additional 20 Big Belly
Solar Powered Trash Compactors in the Devon Avenue SSA district. These cans will
replace the existing metal cans provided by the City of Chicago throughout the business
district.
The Big Bellies can hold up to 5x the amount of a regular can and keep all waste
contained inside until emptied.

and handbooks prepared in 2008 or earlier are out of date and need to be revised.
Best practices for managing insurance coverage termination, the return to work
process and physicals, and transitional light duty will be discussed in light of
these changes.
HR mangers, in-house counsel generalist, and plant managers would attend this practical
